Testing systems

MAFU testing systems represent a reliable solution for quality monitoring. Optical and mechanical testing systems can be used to check and monitor various test characteristics and test criteria. Dimensional accuracy and pattern checks, position and alignment detection as well as force and distance measurements can be integrated into all of our stations. We find the right solution for every relevant quality criterion.

Optical testing systems

The optical measurement technology from MAFU Automation is used for non-contact geometric measurement and shape measurement as well as position definition. Universal image processing systems and workpiece-specific devices are used to measure small parts in bulk. Industrial image processing is primarily used for 2D measurement of flat surfaces, either in transmitted light as a shadow image or in reflected light. The process-reliable detection of surface defects such as: scratches, dents and chipping is just as much a focus of our work as defining workpiece positions.

Continuous testing system

The MAFU small parts testing system with integrated Checkbox Compact from Festo is an optical testing system for flexible position detection and small parts testing as well as type identification in bulk material feeding processes. The complete system consists of bowl feeders that are designed according to customer specifications in the 3D CAD system. Modular conveyor belts with one or two blow-off positions, the Checkbox Compact camera system from Festo, nOK parts container, compressed air maintenance unit and complete electrical installation.

Thanks to the simple teach-in function, a wide variety of part geometries can be learned quickly, i.e. without any programming effort.

Test table

The MAFU test plate solutions are used for fast, fully automatic geometry testing with high accuracy and for quality control of small bulk parts. The solutions are designed as independent - or fully integrable - stations for a specific range of parts and offer a wide range of evaluation options thanks to the programmability of the image processing system. Areas of application include 100% control during production, incoming goods inspection and sorting and packaging of small parts. Test specimens are turned, stamped, pressed and injection-moulded parts with a stable component position such as nuts, screws, threaded bushings, washers and moulded parts with a wide variety of geometries.

Force-displacement testing system

The MAFU Automation spring testing system is a compact, fully automatic system for force-displacement testing of all variants of compression springs. The system untangles, sorts and separates compression springs into a turntable, through which they are fed to a testing station. In order to ensure the 100% quality of the springs, the springs are tested in a force-displacement system.

Mechanical testing systems

MAFU mechanical testing systems are used for part-specific contour testing. Masks are used to check the outer contour in the respective solutions. This means that components that are outside the workpiece tolerances or customer specifications are not fed into the further process. The test masks can be designed as quick-change parts, which guarantees the shortest possible changeover times to different components.
