The Flexfeeder systems combine a material hopper, FlexiBowl, vision system, and robot into a fully integrated high-performance feeding system. First, the hopper feeds the components in a controlled manner onto the FlexiBowl turntable. Thanks to precisely adjustable rotational movements and variable vibration frequencies, even complex geometries are reliably separated. The camera system detects every part on the turntable and calculates the exact gripping coordinates. The robot securely picks up both stationary and dynamically moving parts.
When faced with flexible production requirements, a wide variety of parts, and/or the goal of achieving high output, our high-performance solutions (Conveyor Tracking) are always your best choice. Conveyor Tracking is a position-synchronization function in which one or more robots follow the workpiece on a conveyor belt. With our systems, we can process over 254 different objects. With a pick rate of less than 1 second, we can proudly call these high-performance feeding systems. With our flexible feeding solutions, we guarantee consistently reliable process results even with a wide variety of parts.
MAFU Automation’s flexible feeding systems offer efficient solutions, particularly for applications involving frequently changing part geometries. Parts are conveyed from a storage hopper into a conveyor system. A camera positioned above a through-light conveyor calculates the robot coordinates so that the robot can pick up a workpiece. Previously configured parts can be recalled and processed at any time. New part types can be taught in quickly and easily, enabling MAFU Automation customers to achieve the highest possible flexibility in their production.
FlexiBowl® executes a carefully designed sequence of operations to minimize idle time. FlexiBowl® is the only circularly designed parts feeding system: The parts scattered onto the FlexiBowl® surface by the hopper system are separated from one another by a combined rotation and vibration motion. Once separated, the parts can be detected by the vision system, and the coordinates required for part retrieval can be transmitted to the robot.
The skilled worker shortage represents a major challenge for companies that want to maintain and expand their production. By implementing our flexible feeding solution combined with a pressing unit, our customer is able to significantly increase productivity while maintaining the same manpower. To ensure constant production, control and testing modules optimise the manufacturing process.

By 2035 we will reduce the direct and indirect emissions of the MAFU Group to 0. This also includes those that arise, for example, from the combustion of gas, oil or diesel.
